Sofia Carson To Narrate Disney Channel Special For New Shanghai Theme Park

Sofia Carson is making a pit stop on her way back to the Isle of the Lost.

The Descendants star will lend her voice to Grand Opening Celebration of Shanghai Disney Resort, a half-hour special introducing the world to Disney's first resort in mainland China, airing June 16 at 8/7c.

The special will air on Disney Channel, Disney Junior and Disney XD — as well as each channel's respective app — before re-airing on June 17 at 10/9c on Freeform. Neither airing will contain any commercials.

Sun Li, a Chinese television and movie star, will also appear in the special, along with a performance from world-renowed pianist Lang Lang, who will present a special arrangement of Frozen's "Let it Go." Both artists are also Shanghai Disney Resort Honorary Ambassadors.
