Daredevil: Born Again Directors, EPs Hype The Fight Scenes To Watch For — Including The 'Nastiest' Clash!

Have no fear — Daredevil still packs one hell of a punch, even on Disney+.

Marvel Television's Daredevil: Born Again (premiering Tuesday, March 4 at 9/8c with its first two episodes of nine, and rated TV-MA) finds Charlie Cox again playing Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer with heightened abilities who fights for justice through his bustling law firm. Meanwhile, former mob boss Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio) pursues his own political endeavors in New York, as the metropolis' unlikely (?) mayor.

When the longtime adversaries' past identities, as Daredevil and Kingpin, begin to emerge, they "find themselves on an inevitable collision course."

Said collisions will, in typical Daredevil style, include fists and feet against heads and such, as detailed in the video above featuring showrunner Dario Scardapane, fellow executive producer Sana Amanat, and the directing team of Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead (who helmed episodes 1, 2 and 9, and oversaw the editing of Episodes 3 through 8).

Prompted by me to point prospective Daredevil: Born Again viewers to Season 1's very best fight scenes — the ones that people will be talking about (à la the hallway scene from Season 1 of Netflix's Marvel's Daredevil) — Benson and Moorhead first touted a trademark "oner" (one-shot) that arrives early in the premiere.

Benson and Moorhead also singled out a fight that comes at the end of Episode 2, directed by Michael Cuesta. "There's that yell at the end that we absolutely love," says Benson. "It's so nasty, the nastiest fight."

Scardapane and Amanat's collective mind, meanwhile, first went to a clash at the end of Episode 6 (which was directed by David Boyd).

"[Stunt coordinator/2nd unit director] Phil Silvera did something, and I can't say anything more than that, that you don't notice at first...," Scardapane teases. "And then when you tap into what he's pulled off... we were all blown away."

"But they're all fantastic," insist Amanat, who also gave props to the "really crazy things" done by stunt coordinator/2nd unit director Davd Macomber.

"Each [fight] has a different tone, each one has a different level of mayhem," notes Scardapane. "Fans will have a bonanza of creativity to enjoy!"
