Dune: Prophecy Cast Hype Next Episode As 'Incredible,' Featuring A 'Dance-Off' And 'Exciting' Weaving Of TV And Movie Worlds

Big things are about to happen on Dune: Prophecy, as the HBO prequel series enters the back half of its six-episode season this Sunday. That's the buzz from several cast members and an executive producer who cited the fourth episode as a favorite.

The official synopsis for the episode "Twice Born" tells us that after nearly all the acolytes have the same nightmare, Reverend Mother Tula (Olivia Williams) attempts to understand the origins of their dreams. Mother Superior Valya meanwhile sets in motion her plan to redeem House Harkonnen.

Desmond Hart, though, has made quite clear that he intends to not only stand in Valya's way, but ideally wipe out every trace of the Sisterhood and its influence.

Hart thus far has used his own mysterious power to immolate both a young boy and Emperor Corrino's (Mark Strong) trusted Truthsayer Kasha, and severely singe Emperor Richese. He also has demonstrated that he is able to defy The Voice — Valya's own power, to make people do her bidding.

But now it is time for Demond to show the rest of the world what all he can do.

In Episode 4, executive producer Jordan Goldberg told TVLine, "Desmond Hart has a public display of his abilities" — in what cast member Travis Fimmel jokingly referred to as "a dance-off."

"A lot of fun stuff happens in that episode," Goldberg added, resulting in "a very powerful performance" from Fimmel.

"I think Episode 4 is incredible," said Jodhi May, who plays Empress Natalya Corrino. "You really see how the world of Dune: Prophecy starts to weave together with all the imagery and characters that we associate with the Dune universe, in terms of the films. And that's going to be really exciting for fans.

"It's also where the dramatic tension starts to really rack up," May added. "There are exciting things to come in that episode."

Sarah-Sofie Boussnina and Jade Anouka, who respectively play Princess Ynez and the acolyte Sister Theodosia, also singled out "Twice Born" as their favorite of the six episodes.

Boussnina said the hour is rife with "family dynamics, drama, and tension," while Anouka previewed that the end of the episode "is really cool," in that "we find out a bit about why Theodosia acts the way Theodosia acts."
