Thursday Ratings: Buddy Games Audience Rises, The CW's New Comedy Opens Low

In the latest TV show ratings, ABC's The Golden Bachelor and CBS' Big Brother tied for the Thursday demo win, with the former also (easily) leading the night in total audience.

ABC | Golden Bach drew 4.4 million total viewers and a 0.5 demo rating, down a tick week-to-week; read recap and get scoop on the truncated hometown dates. Bachelor in Paradise (1.9 mil/0.3) dipped.

CBS | Buddy Games (2 mil/0.3) added some eyeballs while steady in the demo, Big Brother (3 mil/0.5, read recap) was up sharply in viewers but down in the demo, and FBI TRUE did 1.5 mil and a 0.1.

THE CW | Now airing on a new night, Son of a Critch (340K), Run the Burbs (210K) and Children Ruin Everything (190K) all pretty much matched their Monday averages. The netlet's latest acquired comedy, Everyone Else Burns, debuted to 192K.

NBC | Transplant (2.1 mil/0.2) ticked up.

FOX | With NFL preemptions factored out, Hell's Kitchen (2.1 mil/0.4) ticked up, while LEGO Masters (1 mil/0.2) was steady.

The Live+Same Day numbers reported in our ratings column do not reflect a show's overall performance, given the increased use of delayed playback via DVR and streaming platforms, plus out-of-home viewing. These numbers (Nielsen fast nationals, unless denoted as finals) instead aim to simply illustrate trends or superlatives.
