NBC's sneak preview of the midseason sitcom Extended Family scored a veritable touchdown, with well-watched NFL football as its Saturday lead-in.

Debuting out of NBC's coverage of the Cincinnati Bengals/Pittsburgh Steelers game, the Jon Cryer-Donald Faison-Abigail Spencer sitcombo retained 4.7 million total viewers along with a 0.9 (!!) demo rating, which in today's climate may as well be "a bajillion point kabillion."

The Live+Same Day numbers reported in our ratings column do not reflect a show's overall performance, given the increased use of delayed playback via DVR and streaming platforms, plus out-of-home viewing. These numbers (Nielsen fast nationals, unless denoted as finals) instead aim to simply illustrate trends or superlatives. This is only an exhibition, this is not a competition. Please, no wagering.
