Sunday Ratings: Krapopolis Kickoff Gets Post-NFL Lift, Yellowstone On CBS Slips

In the latest TV show ratings, Fox's Krapopolis — nearly three-and-a-half years in the making! — debuted on Sunday night to 3.6 million total viewers and a 1.2 demo rating leading out of The OT, marking the top-rated (non-awards) entertainment telecast since Next Level Chef aired out of this year's Super Bowl.

Fox also says it was the "most-watched animation series to debut over the past decade," but as I think about it, that's a small sample size, no...?

A second Krapopolis episode retained 1.9 mil and a 0.6 (per finals). TVLine readers gave the new 'toon an average grade of "C+."

NBC Sunday Night Football averaged 15.3 mil and a 4.3, up 11% in viewers but barely steady in the demo vs. last week's prelims.

The CW's The Chosen hit a Season 2 audience high (353K). How about that 15-minute oner?? Jeez.

Over on CBS, a double pump of Yellowstone Season 1 reruns did 5.3 mil/0.4 and then 4.4 mil/0.3, down sharply from last week's pilot. Big Brother (2.7 mil/0.4) dipped to Sunday lows for this cycle.

The Live+Same Day numbers reported in our ratings column do not reflect a show's overall performance, given the increased use of delayed playback via DVR and streaming platforms, plus out-of-home viewing. These numbers (Nielsen fast nationals, unless denoted as finals) instead aim to simply illustrate trends or superlatives.
