Farmer Wants A Wife Twist! Are You As Jolted As John By Samantha's 'No Kissing' Policy?

This week on Fox's Farmer Wants a Wife, one of the gents got unexpectedly thrown as if from a spooked steed.

In the second episode of Season 3, farmers John, Matt (no relation), Jay and Colton spent 24 hours alone with each of their first picks.

For John, a 25-year-old from St. Louis, Mo., that solo time was spent with Samantha, a 24-year-old from Dallas, Texas.

Samantha was quite taken by John's parents' home, which is a stone's throw from his grandfather's farm, and where he is living while juggling law school. What John and Samantha have in common is they both like to "mean flirt." (Which I now realize I kinda do, myself...?) Anyways....

After a splashy, muddy ATV ride, John led Samantha to a romantic set-up of grapes (olives?) and what not. Things were going well — so much so, that John reached for Samantha's hand, and then pulled her in for a kiss.

That kiss, though, went amiss, when Samantha put her left hand to his neck to stop that buss.

And... cut to commercial.

When we came back, Samantha explained to her flummoxed farmer, "I cannot kiss you on camera" because "I'm going to marry someone someday — it might be you, it might not be you — and I do not want something of me kissing another man on television."

"If it's you" that she winds up exchanging vows with, "then you don't have anything to worry about," she added.

John took a moment, cleared his throat... maybe even did a double take... and admitted, "I certainly thought that this [date] was going a different way."

After all, "It is a dating show," he noted.

Samantha held firm, though, explaining "those are my values and that's what I believe, and I don't want that [footage] of me on the Internet anywhere because I want my [future] husband to have more than that."

John responded, "I do very much respect it. And I understand it" — to which Samantha shot back, "Do you, actually?"

"I do," the farmer maintained.

Afterward, in a video diary, Samantha said to the camera that "romance is something you can't rush, it takes time," and that her "no on-camera kissing" policy "is just a boundary that I have — and I will not be crossing it."

Do you respect Samantha's stance? And do you think she will stick to it to the end? And am I right that there's a "loophole" available, if John can steal a smooch the camera can't catch, like behind a big bale of hay?
