Gen V Episode 6 Welcomes A Boys Favorite With Big News — What Does It Mean For Homelander?
As Gen V barrels towards its second season finale, the game-changing reveals — not to mention A-list cameos from The Boys — are coming fast and furious.
Now streaming on Prime Video, Episode 6 welcomes Giancarlo Esposito as former Vought International CEO Stan Edgar. After saving Marie from Vikor with an assist from his granddaughter's mouth tentacles (go, Zoe!), he brings the gang back to his underground hideaway, where a series of truth bombs are detonated by all parties involved.
For starters, Edgar confirms that only two of Project Odessa's subjects have survived over the years — Marie and Homelander, prompting Jordan to refer to the tyrannical Supe as Marie's "cousin," a notion she firmly rejects. "I'm not like Homelander," she insists. "I'm not a f–king monster."
But the situation changes when Cate suggests that the mysterious elderly gentleman being held at Cipher's house might actually be Thomas Godolkin. How do we know this changes things? Because Stan literally says, "This potentially changes things." As Stan explains, if Thomas is still alive, the key to controlling Cipher — and all Supes for that matter — could lie inside his head, which Stan sees as a major win in the battle against Homelander.
Episode 6 also confirms that Marie's sister is, in fact, a Supe. Though Annabeth says she doesn't know when the V entered her system, she gets occasional visions that help her make sense of things around her, like how she helped navigate the group to the exact spot in Elmira where Luke blasted through the wall to free them.
