Miles Teller, Anya Taylor-Joy Meet Cute While Guarding 'The Door To Hell' In Trailer For Apple Film The Gorge

Who knew the doorway to hell could be so... romantic?

At Brazil's CCXP Saturday, Apple TV+ released a trailer for The Gorge, an original movie premiering Friday, Feb 14. In it, Miles Teller (The Offer) and Anya Taylor-Joy (The Queen's Gambit) play trained operatives posted on opposite sides of an eery abyss who make an unlikely connection despite the space between them.

Per the official synopsis, our central duo is in charge of guarding the "vast and highly classified gorge" — aka the "door to hell," as the trailer puts it — "protecting the world from an undisclosed, mysterious evil that lurks within." Though they are told that they aren't allowed to communicate, the pair begin to exchange written messages. But after "the cataclysmic threat to humanity is revealed to them, they must work together in a test of both their physical and mental strength to keep the secret in the gorge before it's too late."

Joining Teller (who also serves as an EP) and Taylor-Joy are William Houston (Wednesday) and Sigourney Weaver. The film is directed by Scott Derrickson, who also wrote and directed horror films The Black Phone and Sinister.
