Family Guy Twist: Lois Can Finally Understand Stewie In Season 24 — Watch Exclusive Trailer

After more than two decades, Stewie and Lois Griffin are finally going to have a conversation... and it will not go well.

TVLine has an exclusive first look at the Family Guy Season 24 sizzle reel, which was first screened during the show's panel at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday, and it finds the mother-son duo in an unfamiliar state: stoned out of their minds. The two are seen mellowing out on the living room couch, when Lois suddenly realizes that she can understand what her baby is saying.

"I've been waiting a long time to say this," he begins. "Here goes: Please stop buying the cheap baby wipes. They tear me up!" Lois doesn't appreciate her baby's critique of her grocery shopping (it's her one thing!!!), so she communicates a few choice thoughts of her own: "I think 'Baby Shark' is a terrible song," she says. "And Dora sucks!"

The sizzle reel also offers a glimpse at some of the shenanigans Peter and his family will get into this season: a Lord of the Rings parody, featuring Herbert and Chris as Gandalf and Frodo; the Griffins watching angrily from the audience as Bob's Burgers wins another Emmy; Peter accidentally murdering an angel in brutal fashion; Meg seeing Beetlejuice the Musical while seated next to Lauren Boebert (and you can guess the rest); Peter accidentally falling on top of Bill Belichick's very young girlfriend after a failed skydiving landing; and Meg and her friends trying to communicate with Jeffrey Epstein's ghost.

In addition to Season 24, which debuts on Fox in 2026, Family Guy is also releasing individual specials for Halloween and Christmas, both of which will drop on Hulu. The Halloween special, "A Little Fright Music," premieres Monday, Oct. 6.

Here's what to expect, per the official logline: "Brian and Stewie realize there is a shortage of quality Halloween songs, so they set out to write a hit, and Peter and the guys discover that lying about trick-or-treating can have deadly consequences." A premiere date for the Christmas special, along with a synopsis, will be announced later.
