Gen V Season 2 Trailer Reveals Ethan Slater's Casting, Starlight's Mission For Marie And A Chance Perdomo Tribute
A familiar face is welcoming Gen V back to Prime Video for its long-awaited second season, premiering on Wednesday, Sept. 17 with the first three episodes.
As just revealed at San Diego Comic-Con, the trailer for Season 2 kicks off with Starlight (The Boys' Erin Moriarty) turning to Marie Moreau (Jaz Sinclair) for help. Vought is resuming a mysterious — and presumably dangerous — research program known as "Project Odessa," and she needs Marie to stop it. This plan requires Marie to return to Godolkin University, which is now under the troubling control of Dean Cipher (Season 2 newcomer Hamish Linklater).
The trailer also offers a hint at how Andre (Chance Perdomo) will factor into the second season, following Perdomo's tragic death in March 2024. Not only do we catch a quick glimpse of Andre's photo in a top-secret file, but a dramatic voiceover promises to get to the bottom of Project Odessa "for Andre."
And no, your eyes aren't playing tricks on you — that is Ethan Slater of SpongeBob SquarePants and Wicked fame in the recurring role of Thomas Godolkin.
Alongside Sinclair and Linklater, Season 2 stars Lizze Broadway, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann and Sean Patrick Thomas.
Michele Fazekas serves as showrunner, executive-producing alongside Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, Michaela Starr, Ori Marmur, Thomas Schnauz, Steve Boyum and Brant Engelstein.
