Severance Season 2 Trailer Promises 'No Honeymoon' For The Lumon Crew — And Maybe Some Answers?!

Your Christmas bonus is here, loyal employees: We have our first extended look at Season 2 of Severance.

Apple TV+ has released the official trailer for the acclaimed sci-fi thriller's sophomore run — which premieres Friday, Jan. 17 on the streamer — with Mark and his Lumon colleagues still feeling the effects of last season's rebellion. Milchick gravely calls it "one of the most painful moments in the history of this company," but he cheerfully tells them they've kick-started a new era of "severance reform," with their revelations making headlines. So they're not in trouble? Well, not so fast.

"It's not our world up there," Irving says mournfully as Mark shares his revelation about Ms. Casey being Outie Mark's dead wife Gemma: "I gotta get her outta here." On the outside, Mark confronts Cobel: "Do you know something about Gemma?" But she warns him: "There'll be no honeymoon ending for you." Plus, we get a few more glimpses at what actually goes on at Lumon — an office room filled with goats grazing on rolling grass hills?! — and we meet new deputy manager Miss Wong... who happens to be a child.

Severance stars Adam Scott as Mark, a worker drone at the mysterious Lumon corporation who has undergone a surgical procedure to separate his work memories from his personal memories — a separation that became more hazy as Season 1 unfolded. In Season 2, "Mark and his friends learn the dire consequences of trifling with the severance barrier, leading them further down a path of woe," per the official description.

The supporting cast includes Britt Lower, Tramell Tillman, Zach Cherry, Jen Tullock, Michael Chernus, Dichen Lachman, John Turturro, Christopher Walken and Patricia Arquette, with Sarah Bock joining the cast in Season 2 as a series regular. Series creator Dan Erickson returns as writer and executive producer. Ben Stiller returns as an executive producer as well and will direct five of Season 2's 10 episodes.

Severance debuted way back in February 2022 and earned strong acclaim for its freshman season, snagging 14 Emmy nominations. It was renewed for Season 2 that April, but rumors of behind-the-scenes strife (that Stiller later denied) and last year's dual Hollywood strikes pushed back production, with cameras finally rolling this January.
