South Park Tackling Diddy Scandal, Wildfires, Ketamine And More In Season 27 — Watch Trailer
After more than two years, South Park is finally returning to Comedy Central for a proper season. The network has even blessed us with a first look at the madness to come, set to a chilling cover of the iconic anthem "Blame Canada."
South Park will officially return for Season 27 on Wednesday, July 23 at 10/9c for another string of ripped-from-the-headlines episodes. First up: ketamine!
"Shelly, have you been taking ketamine?" Randy asks his daughter at the top of the trailer. "Because I think it could really help you." And when Sharon asks Randy where he's going at the end, he replies, "It's OK, I'm just going to do some ketamine and f–k around with the government a little. See ya!"
What else is on tap for Season 27, you ask? We see the town of South Park ablaze, a nod to the recent wildfires that ravaged Los Angeles; we see a group of beret-wearing Frenchmen stealing back the Statue of Liberty, following an actual French politician's request for the U.S. to return it; and we see Butters working as a harrowed air traffic controller, failing to keep planes from colliding.
Cartman being in a hospital room with a woman in labor has us thinking that South Park has another abortion story up its sleeve, and the sight of Kyle apparently turning into a turkey can only mean that we're getting a bird flu episode.
Oh, and did you think this show was going to leave Diddy alone? Not even close. The embattled music mogul is briefly seen flying through space with the boys — joined by none other than Starvin' Marvin!
