Superman Trailer: See David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan And Nicholas Hoult As Clark, Lois And Lex!

The new DCU's Man of Steel takes flight in the first teaser trailer for Superman, revealed on Thursday morning and embedded above.

Written/directed by DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn and due to swoop into theaters on July 11, 2025, Superman (fka Superman: Legacy) stars David Corenswet (of TV's The Politician and Lady in the Lake) as the titular Kal-El aka Daily Planet reporter Clark Kent. Emmy winner Brosnahan (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) plays intrepid Daily Planet journo Lois Lane, while Skyler Gisondo (The Righteous Gemstones) fills the role of Jimmy Olsen and Wendell Pierce (Elsbeth) plays boss man Perry White.

The cast for the first film in Gunn's brand-new DCU also includes Nicholas Hoult (The Great) as supervillain Lex Luthor, Edi Gathegi (The Blacklist) as Mister Terrific, Isabel Merced as Hawkgirl, Nathan Fillion (The Rookie) as Green Lantern Guy Gardner, Maria Gabriela de Faria (Besieged) as The Engineer, Mikaela Hoover (Happy Endings?) as Cat Grant, Anthony Carrigan (Barry) as Metamorpho, Victoria's Secret angel Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher and Terence Rosemore (Outer Banks) as Otis.

Gunn's new DCU officially kicked off with the recent TV premiere of Max's animated Creature Commandos, which drops new episodes every Thursday.
