The episode sees Eddie Cohen (Florek) and his wife Frida (Christine Avila) arrive at the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center after he accidentally hits her with his car. Frida's injuries are minor, but the incident raises questions about the couple's ability to look after themselves — and each other — due to their age.

Florek gives a vulnerable and meek performance on "The Pitt," but Mr. Cohen isn't above raising his voice whenever he's upset — not unlike Florek's Captain Cragen character in the "Law & Order" franchise.
