The Gentlemen Renewed For Season 3 At Netflix, Ahead Of Season 2 Premiere

"The Gentlemen" isn't leaving Netflix's lineup anytime soon: Ahead of the crime dramedy's return for Season 2, it's been renewed for a third season, the streamer announced Monday.

Season 3, like the two seasons before it, will span eight hour-long episodes.

"The ambition of 'The Gentlemen' has accelerated, the world has expanded, and the consequences carry weight," series creator Guy Ritchie said in a statement. "A third season felt inevitable, and I'm looking forward to pushing the boundaries of it further."

Based on Ritchie's 2019 film of the same name, "The Gentlemen" stars Theo James as Eddie Horniman, a former Army captain who — to the surprise of everyone, especially his older brother, Freddy (Daniel Ings) — inherits his father's estate after he dies, along with the criminal enterprise that apparently comes with it. (Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex and former actress, was reportedly in "advanced discussions" to join Season 3 of the series, but has since allegedly been dropped from consideration.)

The "Gentlemen" renewal comes 10 days before Season 2 drops on Thursday, September 3; you can watch a freshly released trailer for the sophomore run above.
