Ariana Madix To Star In Peacock's Future Housewives, A Sci-Fi Satire Of Reality TV From The Orville EPs

Ariana Madix is looking to the future for her next TV gig.

The "Love Island USA" host — who has been recurring on the NBC comedy "St. Denis Medical" — is attached to star in and executive-produce "Future Housewives," a sci-fi drama in development at Peacock from "The Orville" EPs Brannon Braga and Seth MacFarlane.

Per the official logline, "In the decadent asteroid colony of New Beverly Hills, wealthy socialites juggle bioengineered beauty regimens, ruthless rivalries and interplanetary scandals. But when a young, starry-eyed outsider unexpectedly upends their glamorous world, it exposes just how far they've drifted out of touch in a society evolving beyond superficiality in this sharply satirical yet surprisingly heartfelt reinvention of reality TV." (As its title and premise suggest, "Future Housewives" appears poised to put a sci-fi spin on the "Real Housewives" formula.)

Braga, whose credits include "Star Trek: The Next Generation," "Star Trek: Voyager," and "Star Trek: Enterprise," will write and executive-produce. He previously served as an EP and director on MacFarlane's "The Orville," which ran for three seasons on Fox and Hulu between 2017 and 2022; a 10-episode fourth season has been written, but has yet to be produced.

Madix rose to fame during a 10-season run on Bravo's "Vanderpump Rules," before going on to host Peacock's "Love Island USA" and "Love Island Games." In addition to her recurring role on "St. Denis Medical," she previously guest-starred on ABC's "Will Trent" and competed on Season 32 of "Dancing With the Stars," finishing in third place with partner Pasha Pashkov. She made her Broadway debut as Roxie Hart in "Chicago" in 2024, and currently stars as Connie Francis in "Just in Time."
