TVLine Asks: Did NCIS Pick The Right Director? Should New Abbott Teacher Stick Around? Was Survivor Exit A Quit? And More
We've got questions, and maybe you've got answers! With another week of TV gone by, we're lobbing queries left and right about "Elsbeth," "Dancing With the Stars," "NCIS," "Carrie," and more!
| Did you correctly guess who killed Hal on "Lanterns"? And was anyone else expecting a "Raising Dion"-style twist, given that Jason Ritter had so little to do in Season 1?
| Alright, "NCIS" fans: How are we feeling about Tony DiNozzo being the new director? How do you think he'll get along with Parker and the team?
| On "NCIS: Origins," we all kind of knew Gibbs wasn't really dead after taking that sniper bullet, right? And who do you think the gunmen were talking about when they said, "One down, one to go"?
| "Tracker" fans, did it take a minute for your eyes to adjust to the warmer color palette now that the show is shooting in sunny Los Angeles and not rainy Vancouver?
| Which "Dancing With the Stars" moment made you more nostalgic this week: Amber Riley providing the vocals for "Glee" co-star Harry Shum Jr.'s dance, or Tatyana Ali working Aunt Viv's iconic move from "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" into her routine?
| Does Summer H. Howell's version of "Carrie" remind anyone else of Willow Rosenberg circa "Buffy" Season 1? And what do you think is the deal with Carrie's new friend Emaline?
We'd like to know...
| On "The Challenge," how absurd was it for rookie Anna Leigh to call Cara Maria, a two-time champion and overall "Challenge" badass, a "has been"? And how shocked were you when the already safe Tori stepped into the elimination to save her friend Michele? Was it a total boss move or a stupid risk to take so late in the game?
| On "Abbott Elementary," are you hoping Katy Mixon sticks around as the school's new teacher, since she made such a great foil for Melissa right away?
| On "Ted Lasso," seeing as how the penultimate Season 4 episode had already revealed that Zelda was behind the attempted coup at AFC Richmond, wouldn't it have made more sense for the finale to show Rebecca and Higgins were one step ahead of her, rather than simply tell us after the fact? And weren't we told in Season 3 that Rebecca held a 51% majority stake? Unless she sold 2% of her shares during the three-year time jump, how did she wind up with just 49%?
| We're calling Rob's "Survivor" exit a flat-out "quit," right? And should Devin, Jelly, Patt, Mike, and Brady have been less obvious about their rock-solid bond? Could being more secretive about their alliance perhaps have saved Patt from becoming this week's target?
| While we sorta-kinda understand why "Scrubs" decided to retcon Sean and Kim's Season 8 relationship, wasn't it their co-parenting of Sam — who still exists! — that inspired J.D. to leave Sacred Heart and move closer to his son in the first place? Wouldn't it have made more sense to suggest that Sean and Kim simply didn't last? And won't things get awkward if/when we meet grown-up Sam, or if the show manages to bring Elizabeth Banks back (which hardly seems out of the question, given her ongoing relationship with ABC as host of "Press Your Luck")?
| Which task in the Moroccan "Amazing Race" leg looked more brutal: the needle-in-a-haystack pottery search or the finicky fruit stacking? And which team do you hope survives the leg: Jenn and Jody, or Doug and Dylan?
We're also wondering...
| "Elsbeth" fans, are you here for the romantic spark that was hinted at between Elsbeth and Detective Smullen this week? Or are you hoping the show doesn't go down that path?
| What do we think of "Law & Order: SVU" newbie Gwen Sharpe? Is she a much-needed confidant for the eternally beleaguered Olivia, or — as TVLine reader esw points out — someone the captain shouldn't trust so easily?
| Didn't "Law & Order" perfectly cast "Mad Men" and "Angel" alum Vincent Kartheiser as an unbearably smug tech CEO in its Season 26 premiere?
| On "Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage," did it take you a moment to get used to hearing CeeCee given actual lines of dialogue in the Season 3 premiere?
| In "Cupertino," which musical-theater reference did you enjoy more: "Day by Day" from "Godspell" as Olivia crocheted in her apartment, or her nervously humming "It's the Hard-Knock Life" from "Annie" as she headed into court? Also, which restaurant chain do you think was more excited about being included in the premiere's story: IHOP or TGI Friday's?
| On "The Traitors: New Blood," do you think Joe and Tomica's shady actions with the apples will wind up sinking their games?
