Is SNL New Tonight (October 24, 2026)? Host, Musical Guest, Episode Details
"Saturday Night Live" is taking a second week off following its first three episodes of Season 52. So far, the show has been hosted by NBA star Jalen Brunson, actor Dakota Johnson, and comedian Shane Gillis. The latter host, who was once fired from "SNL," stirred controversy after dropping an F-bomb during a sketch and saying "women just dress like w****s now" in his opening monologue.
The backlash began shortly before "Saturday Night Live" took a break. As of this writing, neither NBC nor the show has publicly responded to the controversy, though "Saturday Night Live UK" Weekend Update host Ania Magliano mocked Gillis during the British show's October 17 episode.
Is there a new episode of SNL tonight?
Not this week. "Saturday Night Live" is taking another week off, so there's no new episode tonight. This tends to happen every three or four episodes to give the cast and crew a break from the show's intense schedule. James Austin Johnson used the recent break to hop over to "Saturday Night Live UK" to reprise his role as Trump for the show's cold open on October 17. This is the first time a current "SNL" cast member has appeared on the UK show.
When does SNL return?
"Saturday Night Live" is back next week on October 31. Since the episode will air on Halloween night, expect some spooky sketches.
Who is the SNL host and musical guest for the next live show?
Who better to host a "Saturday Night Live" Halloween episode than the star of 2026's highest-grossing horror movie? Inde Navarrette is the next Season 52 fall "SNL" host after rising to fame in "Obsession," where she plays a woman driven into a terrifying obsession after a magical wish forces her to fall in love with a man. Navarrette may poke fun at her previous movies and TV shows like "Obsession" and "Superman & Lois" during her "SNL" appearance. The musical guest will be Gracie Abrams, who released her third album "Daughter from Hell" earlier this year.
What time does SNL start?
"Saturday Night Live" starts at 11:30 p.m. ET, which is 10:30 p.m. CT or 8:30 p.m. PT.
Where can I watch SNL?
When it returns, "SNL" will air live on NBC and stream on Peacock. If you can't catch the episode on Saturday night, you can watch the full episode on Peacock the next day. If you don't have access to Peacock, check out the "Saturday Night Live" YouTube page, where clips of sketches, monologues, and musical performances are uploaded.
