Y: Marshals Adds 7 To Cast, Including 3 Returning Yellowstone Characters

CBS' Yellowstone spinoff Y: Marshals has rounded out its ensemble cast, which now includes several familiar faces from the original Paramount Network series, TVLine has learned.

Let's start with who's returning: Gil Birmingham will be back as Thomas Rainwater, Mo Brings Plenty will return as Mo, and Brecken Merrill will reprise the role of Tate Dutton.

As for the newbies, the following three series regulars have also joined the cast as U.S. Marshals: Arielle Kebbel (Rescue: HI-Surf) as Belle, Ash Santos (Mayor of Kingstown) as Andrea and Tatanka Means (Reservation Dogs) as Miles. Additionally, Brett Cullen (Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty) will recur as Harry Gifford, who heads up the U.S. Marshals in Montana.

The Yellowstone spinoff follows Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes), who leaves ranching life behind to join an elite unit of U.S. Marshals, "combining his skills as a cowboy and Navy SEAL to bring range justice to Montana, where he and his teammates must balance family, duty and the high psychological cost that comes with serving as the last line of defense in the region's war on violence," reads the show's official logline.

As previously reported, Logan Marshall Green (And Just Like That...) will play Pete Calvin, one of Kayce's friends from his days in the military.

Y: Marshals is one of several Yellowstone franchise offshoots currently in the works. Over on Paramount+, it is joined by 1944 (which follows 1883 and 1923) and The Madison (starring Michelle Pfeiffer, Matthew Fox and Patrick J. Adams). Paramount+ will also serve as home to the Beth/Rip-centric spinoff The Dutton Ranch, which recently added Annette Bening to its cast.

Y: Marshals is expected to premiere on CBS in early 2026. Will you be tuning in? Drop a comment with your thoughts below.
