Severance Renewed For Season 3 At Apple TV+

Severance just received a positive performance review: Apple TV+ renewed the sci-fi thriller for Season 3 on Friday, the same day its Season 2 finale debuted on the streamer.

"Making Severance has been one of the most creatively exciting experiences I've ever been a part of," executive producer and director Ben Stiller said in a statement. "While I have no memory of this, I'm told making Season 3 will be equally enjoyable, though any recollection of these future events will be forever and irrevocably wiped from my memory as well."

"The idea of getting to make more Severance with the greatest cast and crew on Earth is more thrilling to me than all the world's finger traps combined," series creator, writer and executive producer Dan Erickson added. "I can't wait to continue spreading woe, frolic, dread and malice with these truly incredible people."

Adam Scott stars as Mark, a corporate drone at the mysterious Lumon company who has undergone a surgical procedure known as "severance," where his work life is completely separated from his personal life, and vice versa. Britt Lower plays Mark's cubicle mate Helly, with John Turturro and Zach Cherry as co-workers Irving and Dylan. Plus, Patricia Arquette co-stars as Lumon supervisor Ms. Cobel, with Tramell Tillman as her henchman Mr. Milchick.

Severance premiered in February 2022 and earned strong acclaim for its freshman season, snagging 14 Emmy nominations. It was renewed for Season 2 two months later, but didn't return until this January, nearly three full years after its debut. (Read our Season 2 finale recap here.)
