The Morning Show's Desean Terry 'Disappointed' He Wasn't Brought Back For Season 3: 'We Need More Complex And Diverse Characters' — Watch

Daniel Henderson is no longer co-anchoring The Morning Show's weekend desk.

Actor Desean Terry, a series regular for the Apple TV+ drama's first two seasons, confirmed in an Instagram video on Thursday that we won't be seeing his character in Season 3, which premiered earlier this week. (Click here to read Kim Roots' full, out-of-this-world recap.)

"Some of y'all have reached out because you were anticipating seeing more of my work on this project that I've worked on," Terry says in the video. "I can't say too much about anything because of the stipulation of the SAG-AFTRA strike, because I support my union and everything we're fighting for. I did want to come on here and confirm for y'all that no, you will not be seeing that character this season. I'm disappointed about it as well, but I'm really grateful that there are folks who reached out who felt seen by that role and narrative.

In discussing his union's ongoing fight, Terry went on to emphasize the importance of "keeping diversity and inclusion top-of-mind so we can see more characters and narratives like this one."

Terry's post included the following caption: "We need more complex and diverse characters on screen, so it's always disheartening to see one that we love disappear. But rest assured, there's more to come! My creative journey is ongoing and purposeful."
