Christmas is coming a week early for fans of Taylor Sheridan series: "Frisco King," the Samuel L. Jackson-led "Tulsa King" spin-off, will premiere in December, TVLine has learned.

The series will get underway with two episodes on Friday, December 18, on Paramount+. New episodes will roll out weekly on Fridays.

Jackson will reprise the role of New Orleans gangster Russell Lee Washington Jr., whom we first met in "Tulsa King" Season 3. The teaser trailer above shows Russell and Sylvester Stallone's "Tulsa King" character, Dwight "The General" Manfredi, plotting about Russell's new, not-so-legal venture in Frisco, Texas.

According to the official logline, Russell won't be the suburb long before he "discovers a hustler's playground hidden beneath the polished surface of American suburbia. Recruiting an ambitious protégé, a loyal driver, and a growing network of eccentric partners, Lee transforms small hustles into big business."

Hmm... remind you of anyone else we know?

The synopsis continues, "But, every new score raises the stakes, and as his influence grows, so do the risks, forcing lee to stay one grift ahead. Frisco may not know it yet, but its new king has arrived."

Meet the Frisco King cast and producers

Paramount+ ordered the crime drama to series in July 2025 under the title "NOLA King;" Samuel L. Jackson's Russell originally was going to set up shop in New Orleans. In February 2026, the streamer announced that Russell's series would be called "Frisco King" and that Taylor Sheridan — creator of "Tulsa King" as well as "Lioness," "Landman," and the "Yellowstone" universe — would write all eight Season 1 scripts.

"We are honored to have Taylor Sheridan write the first season of 'Frisco King' and bring to life Samuel L. Jackson's iconic character," Paramount Television Studios president Matt Thunell said via statement at the time. "Having him pen all episodes of the season with his singular voice will be a treat for fans of 'Tulsa King' and audiences around the world."

In addition to Jackson, the "Frisco King" cast includes Asa Germann ("Gen V"), Kai Caster ("Yellowstone"), Lilah Pate ("Outer Banks"), and Savanna Gann ("English Teacher"). Jackson also executive-produces alongside Sylvester Stallone, David C. Glasser, LaTanya Richardson Jackson, and others. Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios produce.
