The Rookie Season 9 At New York Comic Con: Live Panel Updates From Nathan Fillion & Co.

Nine seasons in, John Nolan is no longer "The Rookie" — but that doesn't mean we're not pumped for the ABC series' New York Comic Con panel!

The show's cast and executive producers will take part in a panel on Sunday at 2:15 pm on the Main Stage in Hall 1D. But if you can't be there in person, don't worry: We've got you covered. TVLine will be on site, ready to relay all of the intel from the event.

In case you're a "Rookie" rookie, here's a quick overview. Nathan Fillion plays John Nolan, who joined the Los Angeles Police Department in his 40s and who, per the official synopsis "now uses his life experience, determination, and sense of humor to keep up with rookies 20-plus years his junior."

The cast also includes Mekia Cox as Nyla Harper, Alyssa Diaz as Angela Lopez, Melissa O'Neil as Lucy Chen, Eric Winter as Tim Bradford, Richard T. Jones as Wade Grey, Shawn Ashmore as Wesley Evers, Jenna Dewan as Bailey Nune, Deric Augustine as Miles Penn, and Lisseth Chavez as Celina Juarez.

Fillion also is an executive producer on the series, which ABC renewed for Season 9 in April. Alexi Hawley serves as showrunner. And there's a spin-off in the works: "The Rookie: North," starring Jay Ellis ("Insecure"), received a series order in May.

So make sure you stick around for all of the scoop (anyone else desperately in need of a #Chenford update?!), and make sure to weigh in in the comments!
