One Piece Expands Season 3 Cast As Netflix Series Journeys To Alabasta
The upcoming third season of Netflix's live-action "One Piece" adaptation just added four more names to its ever-growing cast, TVLine has learned.
Season 3, referred to as "One Piece: The Battle of Alabasta," relocates the Straw Hat Pirates to the titular desert kingdom, where they'll encounter live-action versions of the following characters from the manga/anime: Emilio Sakraya ("Those About to Die") as Koza, Omid Abtahi ("The Mandalorian") as Toto, Jamie Ward ("The Gentlemen") as Pell, and Nabeel Khan ("Strike Back") as Chaka.
Here's what to expect from Season 3, according to Netflix: "After entering the treacherous Grand Line, war is coming for Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat crew in the desert kingdom of Alabasta, Princess Vivi's homeland. A rebellion threatens to tear the nation apart, fueled in secret by one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, the ruthless Sir Crocodile, and his underground syndicate Baroque Works, who seek to conquer Alabasta for themselves. In a season defined by unbreakable bonds and impossible choices, the Straw Hats must face a brewing civil war and a powerful warlord to save Vivi's kingdom before it crumbles into the sand."
"One Piece" stars returning for Season 3 include Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu as Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero as Usopp, Taz Skylar as Sanji, Charithra Chandran as Miss Wednesday, Mikaela Hoover as Chopper, Joe Manganiello as Mr. 0, Lera Abova as Miss All Sunday, and Sendhil Ramamurthy as Nefartari Cobra.
As previously reported, "One Piece" Season 3 will welcome Cole Escola ("Search Party") as Bon Clay, Xolo Maridueña ("Cobra Kai") as Portgas D. Ace, Daisy Head ("Shadow and Bone") as Miss Doublefinger, and newcomer Awdo Awdo as Mr. 1.
