9-1-1: Nashville Season 2's Fiona Lowe Tribute Explained
"9-1-1: Nashville" returned for its second season on Thursday, concluding with a touching tribute to Fiona Lowe, who died on September 29. She was just 13 years old.
The episode's broadcast ended with an on-screen dedication that read "In Loving Memory," along with a recent photograph of the deceased. According to a medical examiner, Fiona Lowe's death was ruled a suicide.
Fiona Lowe was the daughter of Chad Lowe, who serves as an executive producer of "9-1-1: Nashville." He has also directed five episodes of the ABC series, including the Season 2 premiere. And his involvement with the '9-1-1" franchise goes far beyond "Nashville." He previously directed three episodes of "9-1-1" and six episodes of "9-1-1: Lone Star." He also recurred on the latter, playing Owen's estranged brother Robert Strand, acting opposite his real-life brother Rob Lowe.
