Daytime Emmys 2026: General Hospital Wins Best Drama Series For Sixth Straight Year — See Winners List

This year's Daytime Emmys have been handed out, and a familiar name sits on top of the daytime drama heap.

ABC's "General Hospital" won the Emmy for best daytime drama series for the sixth straight year at Friday's ceremony, which was broadcast live on YouTube. CBS newcomer "Beyond the Gates" also took home awards for lead actress (Tamara Tunie) and emerging talent (Ambyr Michelle). "Gates" earned 16 nominations overall in its first year of eligibility after debuting on CBS in February 2025. (It's already been renewed for two more seasons, through 2028.)

In the daytime talk categories, "The Kelly Clarkson Show" won for best talk show after signing off in August, with Sherri Shepherd winning for best host for the farewell season of "Sherri." "Be My Guest With Ina Garten" and "Justice for the People With Judge Milian" also took home Emmys in the culinary and courtroom categories. "General Hospital" veteran Genie Francis was honored as well with this year's Lifetime Achievement award.
