Rick's career as a film and TV correspondent began in 2016 with bylines at The Odyssey and other entertainment blogs. He later became a senior writer for ScreenRant, where he wrote news and developed thought-provoking features covering new releases, classic franchises, industry trends, streaming, and more. Rick signed on to write for Looper in 2021, eventually progressing to an editor role in 2022. Rick spent a year at SlashFilm, expanding his film and TV news coverage by attending and reporting on New York City press events featuring Hollywood names like Denis Villeneuve, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Paul Thomas Anderson. He also contributes to TVLine and has covered TV, movies, and video games for publications like StyleCaster and SVG.

Education

Rick studied writing and storytelling at the College of William & Mary, receiving his B.A. in 2019. He is also an associate of Oxford University's Hertford College and a graduate of the Columbia Publishing Course.
